NEO's STORY
Neo Nguyen is an Industrial and Product Designer from Vietnam, working across consumer products, everyday goods, and medical devices. With more than a decade of experience in product design and development, his work sits at the intersection of creative design thinking and engineering precision.
Neo’s design process is rooted in close observation and careful problem framing. He focuses on understanding how products are used in real life - their functional logic, proportions, materials, and constraints - before making any formal decisions. His workflow often involves material exploration, iterative prototyping, and clear documentation to ensure ideas translate reliably from concept to manufacturing.
Through this approach, Neo gradually shapes a design direction he refers to as New Original (NEO) - a way of working that prioritizes preserving what already functions well, while refining and updating products for contemporary contexts. Rather than pursuing novelty, he aims to create designs that feel familiar, clear, and quietly improved, supporting long-term usability and relevance.
